Former and Current Student Interns Kevin O'Brien (Former, left) Logan Withrow (Current, Right)

Mona Parker, CCAP’s Guidance Counselor and Internship Coordinator partnered with Virginia Modeling & Simulation Analysis Center – Old Dominion University (VMASC – ODU) for The Pruden Center’s (Now CCAP) Modeling and Simulation (Mod & Sim) program. The goal of the partnership is to provide internship opportunities for CCAP’s students enrolled in the year two Mod & Sim program. Kevin O’Brien, a former Mod & Sim student completed The Center’s program in 2015. He is now a senior, majoring in Mod & Sim at ODU.

Dr. Jose Padilla, VMASC’s Research Assistant Professor and Mrs. Parker worked out an internship assignment for current Mod & Sim student, Logan Withrow. Upon her arrival to visit Logan at VMASC, guess who met her with a huge smile? Kevin O’Brien is now interning and supervising Logan at VMASC. She was completely surprised and proud to see that the program is going full circle.
