CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association (AFA) to direct students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future.

On October 25, 2019 our Cyber Technology student participated in the CyberPatriot challenge. Students were in the position of newly hired Information Technology (IT) professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. Through a series of online competition rounds, four teams, which encompassed all of the Cyber Technology students, were given a set of virtual operating systems. They were tasked with locating and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, while maintaining critical services.

Students will have an opportunity to participate in two more rounds of the competition, November 15th and December 6th. Participation beyond December will be determined by December team scores.

This competition is on a national level, so only the top teams in the nation can earn all-expenses paid trip to Maryland for the National Finals Competition and earn national recognition and scholarship money.
