tudents who are interested in installing, operating, maintaining and repairing residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems will enjoy learning and working in this career field. Every building has an electrical power, communications, lighting, and control system and students will become familiar with the aspect of these power systems.
The Electricity program a one (1) year program designed for students to develop skills in the various components of the electrical system. They will also study electrical theory, and mathematical problems to related to electricity, navigate the National Electrical Code Book, select conductors, examine lighting, communication, and power systems, and work with the conduit and raceways, panelboards, switchboards grounding systems and generators.
Participation in the program enables students to earn the
NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) Electrical Construction Technology,
which demonstrates students' understanding of concepts and knowledge needed to exceed in the area of electricity.

Employment Outlook:
Employment of electricians is projected to grow 9 percent from 2016 to 2026, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Increases in construction spending and growing demand for alternative energy sources will drive demand for electricians.
